　　Right：为什么你第一天、第二天没来？

　　To show order,“第”is often required before the numeral.“二（天）”in the sentence should be preceded by “第”

　　Example:

　　Wrong：他朋友在北京语言学院第二系第一年级学习汉语。

　　Right：他朋友在北京语言学院二系一年级学习汉语。

　　“第”is not needed before numerals used to distinguish departments or grades.One should delete“第”in the sentence.
